EMBRACING YOUR FLAWS.

Maybe I’m not the best person in the world. I have my flaws and so do you.

Welcome back home my lovely readers. I took a break from regularly posting articles. Might not have been the best decision to make but believe me when i say it was absolutely needed. I had to go refuel myself mentally, intellectually and emotionally. The result of that unannounced “break” is going to be evident in subsequent posts.

If you are very active on Social media, the following statements shouldn’t be new to you.

• embrace your flaws.

• don’t fight your demons.

• we all have our demons.

• no one is perfect.

• if you can’t beat them, you join them.

• and other self consolatory quotes.

For better understanding of this article, I’ll take them sequentially.

1. EMBRACE YOUR FLAWS.

False. A lie. Not true. Very wrong.

FLAW basically means a feature that mars the perfection of something. There are various types of flaws. Could be physical, character-wise or emotional.

When the flaw is physical that is, when an individual has stretch marks/scars or acne or plus/undersized e.t.c then the term “embrace your flaws” can be mildly used and i say MILDLY because we are in the 21st century and there is almost a solution for every skin or body related issue.

But if it is character wise or emotionally, you should begin to work on it as soon as possible. You don’t embrace a toxic behavior. When a little child does something wrong the parent chastises him/her, they don’t say “aww, that’s his personality. Isn’t that cute?”

When you’ve recognized a bad trait in yourself, by all means do not embrace it. You can’t change what you embrace.

2. DON’T FIGHT YOUR DEMONS.

We sure hear a lot of things this days. Hey dear, demons whether connotatively or denonatively have never been known to be a good thing. So if you’re aware of this, why then do you want to still go ahead and embrace it? You’ve got to fight it. Yes, I know how bad you wish to. Fight till you win if not it’s going to keep coming back to haunt you.

3. WE ALL HAVE OUR DEMONS.

Well, this is not a total lie as everyone at one point of their life had one thing going on in their life that they couldn’t talk to a soul about. You might classify it as a demon but I’d call it a challenge. A challenge isn’t a challenge if no one is trying to win. A challenge looses it’s essence if a party succumbs to the other because of false presumed superioty. Know this, YOU ARE BIGGER THAN YOUR CHALLENGES.

4. NO ONE IS PERFECT.

Perfection is a relatable term. What might be perfect to Human A might be imperfect to Human B. Be the best you can be. Yes, you can be perfect and you can live a perfect life. Don’t let anyone deem your light because of their inabilty to get over themselves. Begin your journey to perfection and watch life get easier.

5. IF YOU CAN’T BEAT THEM, JOIN THEM.

This statement above has ruined many lives. If you initially attempted to beat them that shows you obviously do not contend with them, but then you now want to join them. Like really?

understand the “fight them from the inside” logic but you and I know that only works in the Crime Investigation world.

Because it is trending doesn’t make it good. Let’s always remember this.

  1. Yeah,we sure need to embrace our flaws and start thinking high of ourselves since perfection is a myth.Totally encouraging post and i enjoyed every bit of it.Big ups to you yeye tomisin💪😊.

    1. Come to the understanding of your flaws, then WORK ON IT. Become better. Perfection is not a myth anymore, perfection is relative.

  2. I appreciate the fact that you haven’t conformed your thought with that of the world but instead you brought to light your point of view..and that to me is impressive
    So well done

    1. The world, each day is spiralling out of control. People can hardly keep up. And by reason of that, they do things even they can’t explain. It is painful. I’ve seen these things, and I know I may not have the power to change the world yet, but that which I can do, I will.

    2. Thank you Dooney, comments like yours keeps the fire burning. I do not take it for granted. God bless you and everyone reading my blog.❤
